Thank You Papa San for having been there, done that...
HOPE
My God and Country
I am your adopted one
And one who was once lost
In a war called Viet Nam
There America's precious Sons and Daughters
Have poured their blood in exchange for freedom
Whose names are immortalized in granite
At a sacred place where our nation's history lives on...
Think of them when things in life seem hectic
Imagine a fierce battle the soldiers were fighting
Join the adrenalines that run inside them
Envision the mortars engulfing over their heads
The enemies surging at them one human wave after another...
The dark night was forever long...
Lay our stress down for a moment
Take a pause
Meditate on our sense of acceptance
Life is its own life in itself
Nothing we can do about it
Find a path, a brook, a creek and keep walking
Enjoy, in the meanwhile, the running water
Feel it with our feet
As there will be another route awaiting ahead
A different road that may be unbearable
But we must keep on journeying
Just like our American soldiers
Who are being present in many corners of the world
Because of us,
Blessed Americans.
