Dear Adm. John Cotton and our beloved U.S. Navy and her Sailors,
The sea is where I was born: a fishing village with white sand called Cát Chánh, Phù Cát District, near Qui Nhơn City, Bình Định Province.
The Viet Cong conquered my village when I was 6. Mom and Dad escaped to Qui Nhơn City. I have not seen my beloved seashore village ever since.
My new life in the U.S.A. has been blessed: Downey City, California, 1975. Huntington Beach 2006 to present.
I am back to sea...
Thank You, Sir, Amd. Cotton, for having been there, Việt Nam, done that, for freedom and liberty, for others and me.
Prayerfully yours,
Linh Duy Vo
